Friends of Tottington Library are holding a Fun Quiz Night at Elton Liberal Club on Friday 27 th October at 7 pm. Tickets are £5 each which includes a hot supper. Teams of four maximum are required.
Committee member Cllr Yvonne Wright said “We need raffle prizes and would be grateful if Tottington businesses could consider donating a small prize or voucher.”
The Council have given permission for the community to operate the Library but have quoted that operating costs will be in excess of £22.000 per annum.
Chair of The Friends of Tottington Library, Cllr Iain Gartside said “As yet we do not have a date for the take over but will be in touch with all those who have volunteered to help in due course but would appreciate their support at the quiz night.”
On the evening of Friday 3rd November at 7.30pm, Walshaw Sports Club will be hosting a “Lancashire Night” with traditional Lancashire entertainment, hot-pot and cakes. Tickets for this are £15.
